The Foundation for a Smoke-free America is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating people of all ages about smoking and tobacco use. It was founded by Patrick Reynolds-grandson of the tobacco company founder, R.J. Reynolds-who has turned against the tobacco industry. You can read brief descriptions, view his motivational speeches, or send away for a copy of a video produced for grades 7-12. The site has helpful quit tips and ways to initiate a community event.

Quitnet, sponsored by Join Together, a national resource for communities working on substance abuse and gun violence, is based at the Boston University School of Public Health. This site offers personalized services to help you quit smoking, such as methods, tools, guides, email support, and an opportunity to join a quit-forum. The online store offers gum, patches, and books on smoking cessation for purchase. The website contains an interactive tool to help smokers quit by providing an individualized quit- smoking plan. The site has a directory so you can search for quit-smoking programs in your state.
Center for Tobacco Cessation serves as the source of the best available science on tobacco cessation and works with national partners to expand the use of effective tobacco dependence treatments.

Peer Learship - Prevetning Tobacco The Medical Foundation is a nationally recognized leader in youth development and peer leadership training. Peer leaders are young people who make a commitment to promoting healthy behavior in their communities, particularly among other young people. TMF's innovative peer leadership training programs engage young people in the learning process and encourage self-discovery within the context of their own personal experience and communities. Asian Pacific Partners for Empowerment and Leadership (APPEAL) is a national network of organizations and individuals working towards social justice and a tobacco-free Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.
